Commitment to
Dignity

Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Dear Future Sister,

On behalf of the Gamma Chi Chapter at Carleton University, welcome to Alpha Omicron Pi (AOII)! We can’t wait to give you a glimpse into AOII and show you what makes our sisterhood so special. My name is Dakota and I was initiated in the Fall Semester of 2019 and AOII has been my home away from home ever since.

As AOIIs we are continually striving to inspire ambition. Between academics, philanthropy, leadership, and more, we are committed to pursuing our best selves in everything that we do, and we strive to use our talents and gifts to better those around us. The Gamma Chi Chapter of AOII is made up of more than 50 unique women who support and genuinely care for each other’s goals, dreams and aspirations. Together, our chapter supports a local and international philanthropy to give back to our community, has an alumnae mentorship program to encourage our members to reach their wildest dreams and an endless amount of leadership positions to get involved. This past year has been unlike any other, but through every up and down, I have felt so lucky to be supported by this one-of-a-kind sisterhood.

I am incredibly thankful for this authentic group of women and the opportunity to know each and every one of them. These women are there for each other through the highs and lows. We are each other’s biggest cheerleaders, best friends and most importantly- family. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website, learn more about our Chapter, and AOII.

Alpha Love and Mine,

Dakota Livingston
