Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Commitment to
College Loyalty

From collegiate years on through alumnae involvement, the reason AOIIs continue service is the joy of spending time together and sharing the insights learned from the relationships we build and sustain.

Letter from the President

Hello and welcome to the Gamma Chi chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi! My name is Rebekka Chhom and I the current Chapter President. Since the time of my initiation in 2018 AOII has molded me into the empowered woman I’ve always aspired to be. Cultivating rich friendships, providing leadership opportunities, and enhancing the undergraduate experience, Alpha Omicron Pi has given myself and my sisters so much.

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded in 1897 at Barnard College, making AOII the oldest international organization on Carleton's campus. Being a member of an international women's organization means so much more than just being a member of our local chapter on one campus. Alpha Omicron Pi has 143 active collegiate chapters and over 151,000 collegiate members in North America, making it possible to find Sisters anywhere around the world. In its 122nd year of existence, AOII has shaped thousands of intelligent, ambitious and well-rounded women.

I am so excited to share a little bit of my sisterhood with all of you visiting our site. We hope your visit here can showcase the drive, intelligence, hilarity, and ambition of all of my sisters. To us, sisterhood is so much more than our 4 years at Carleton. To us, sisterhood is late night drives, watching movies on the weekends, cheering on a graduating senior, crying in the bridal party of your big, and growing your family exponentially. Sisterhood truly is Alpha Omicron Pi.

Alpha Love and Mine,

Rebekka Chhom
