Whether a member chooses to serve as a chapter officer, or represent AOII as a member of other campus or community organizations, there are numerous opportunities to develop leadership skills as a member of AOII.

Commitment to
Scholarship

AOII encourages all members to excel academically and has many programs designed to assist women in achieving their academic goals. Expectations are high but the support provided by scholarship programs, academic development officer resources, and fellow members makes success attainable.

Letter from the President

Hello,

My name is Megan Simard and I am the current Chapter President for the Alpha Omicron Pi-Gamma Chi Chapter at Carleton University. I was initiated in the Winter semester of 2019 and AOII has been my home away from home ever since. It helps shape us into the womxn that we aspire to be by providing us many opportunities for growth with a strong support system by our side through it all. AOII is an organization of strong, empowered, womxn leaders that inspire ambition in all that we do.

Alpha Omicron Pi was founded in 1897 at Barnard College and has been at Carleton University since 1992. Our organization is international, meaning there are so many more AOII chapters than just ours at Carleton. Alpha Omicron Pi has 143 active collegiate chapters and over 191,000 collegiate members in North America. There are so many Sisters you can meet around the world!

The womxn in our chapter are there for each other through the highs and lows. We are each other's biggest cheerleaders, best friends, and most importantly, family. Thank you for visiting our website. I hope it has demonstrated to you how intelligent, passionate, caring, and ambitious my Sisters are. AOII has been a home to many ambitious womxn and it is our home for a lifetime.

Alpha Love and Mine,

Megan Simard
